Debunking Common Misconceptions About Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, Design, and Their Real-World Constraints

Happy New Year! Advanced Clean Fleets is here. Do you have infrastructure? Join us for our newest Rip Off and Duplicate meeting to get critical information about electric vehicle infrastructure design, permitting, and real-world constraints.

NAFA Pacific Southwest Local Networking Group is excited to welcome industry experts Alex Crary and Navodi Athapaththu from the Edison Energy Team to present on the common misconceptions surrounding electric vehicle infrastructure, its design, and the real-world constraints from regulation and engineering standards that will help us all better understand what is possible and not possible with electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Alex Crary  Alex is a Project Manager on the Transportation Electrification team at Edison Energy responsible for managing EV charging projects from inception through commissioning. Alex also focuses on relationship development with utilities and local jurisdictions assisting with interconnection requests and permitting requirements. Alex’s prior experience includes working as a licensed electrician where he designed, planned, and installed numerous electrical projects and solar arrays in Portland, Oregon for Solar City. Alex holds an MS in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology, a BS in Science from Portland State University, and completed Electrician, Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC) in Portland, OR.

Navodi Athapaththu  Navodi has a professional background in energy consulting and project management with over 5 years’ experience in regulatory strategy, transportation electrification, decarbonization, DSM, and energy transition strategy. She has strong experience in the electric vehicle policy space, including incentive identification and keeping clients up to date on regulatory changes.
