NAFA Southeast Regional Fleet Meeting and Networking Event

The NAFA Southeast Region will be hosting their Regional Fleet Meeting and Networking Event that promises to be a dynamic gathering of professionals and stakeholders in the fleet management industry. The event will provide a unique platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Attendees can anticipate a comprehensive agenda featuring panel discussions led by industry leaders, and informative discussions on emerging trends in the industry. This event aims to foster a community of professionals dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in the management of vehicle fleets. The event also includes a tour of the 100,000 square foot Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence facility that houses Wake Tech’s automotive and collision repair center.
The Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence features a 16,500-square-foot automotive systems lab, with 13 lifts and two wheel alignment machines. It also includes a 15,000-square-foot collision repair lab with six lifts, four paint booths and two frame straighteners. Other features include a performance lab for engine and transmission classes, dyno rooms for testing engines and transmissions, a welding lab, eight classrooms, three computer labs and a conference room. Glass walls allow visitors to view lab activity without disturbing classes.

2025 Fleet Policy Outlook Presented by Hillstaffer
With a new Administration and Republican control of both the House and Senate, as well as potential litigation, fleet related policies at the state and federal level may change significantly in the next two years. This session will review the outlook for fleet policy in the coming years.
Essential Core Competencies for Fleet Management – Certified Automotive Fleet Manager Program
This session will take you on a tour of the NAFA CAFM Certification program – divided into eight disciplines that cover the essential core competencies of fleet management. Topics include asset management, risk management, vehicle fuel management, information and maintenance management just to name a few. Not only can this program give you a great advantage in advancing your fleet career – it is also identified as one of the top 10 certifications for increasing salaries by Monster.com. This session will be led by Cedric Roberts, Director of the Department of Equipment Management with the City of Birmingham, AL and Tim Coxwell, Fleet Management Division Director with Leon County Sheriff’s Department in Tallahassee, FL.
