EV Charging Infrastructure: Crossing the Chasm
April 5, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Fleets are discovering that buying electric vehicles is only the beginning of the electrification journey. It can take up to two years for the electric company to install adequate infrastructure. e-Boost provides temporary off-grid EV charging, does not require “make-ready” permits, and is available in several configurations (30 – 600 kW) and form factors, skid, truck, trailer, or container pod. Once a permanent, grid-connected infrastructure is installed, e-Boost can be re-purposed as a backup, resilient, off-grid asset or easily relocated.
Manufacturers of EVs for commercial fleets and their local dealerships need to accelerate adoption by demonstrating the capabilities of their battery-electric vans, trucks, and buses at their locations, during roadshows or customer events — locations that are not necessarily outfitted for EV charging. Since e-Boost is a mobile solution, it can follow the ride & drives or be temporarily moved to customer sites.
Learning Objectives
• Learn about an off-grid solution to bridge the up to two-year gap between receiving electric fleet vehicles and getting the grid connected to charge them.
• Learn how to size the various configurations based on charging level, location, and fleet size needs.
• Learn about connectivity features that provide remote monitoring, maintenance troubleshooting, automatic refueling, and security.
